Cowra Pet Rescue and Rehoming is a not for profit pet rescue located in Cowra, Central West NSW.
Our aim is to help rescue dogs and cats who have found themselves in the pounds, or have been surrendered. We currently assist rangers in 3 local pounds in the Cowra, Young & Orange areas, and have numerous other rescues who help us with saving the poundies.
Adoptions
All adoptions from CPRR are given a 2 week trial before adoption is finalised. Adoption fee includes desexing, microchipping, vaccination, flea and worm treatment, vet health check and lifetime registration with your local council.

Free local council registration in NSW
If you adopt from Cowra Pet Rescue and you reside in NSW, your lifetime council registration will be free. In July 2021, the NSW Government introduced free lifetime registration when you adopt a desexed rescue pet from council pounds, animal shelters, and rehoming organisations who have a Rehoming Organisation Number.
Kittens and Puppies are often spoken for before they can be listed, so if you are interested in a kitten or puppy, please complete an application form any time here, and email us to check availability, which can include those who are both ready now, and will be ready for adoption in the next few weeks.
* Puppies and Kittens who are adopted before they are old enough to be desexed, are done so with the understanding you will have them desexed as soon as they are age appropriate.

Becoming a Foster Carer is a rewarding experience, and one where you can help make a huge difference to an individual animal and a welfare organisation in your local community. By offering to take in foster pets, you can help save a life and make rescue transitions so much easier for the many animals in need in and around Cowra.
